We’ve completely revamped the Shipzee system: introduced a new UX/UI design, improved performance, implemented Scrum and CI/CD practices, and optimized support costs.
Shipzee is a unique eCommerce platform that makes it easy to shop in U.S. stores without dealing with customs procedures, extra fees, couriers, or other hassles.
While the service itself worked smoothly, the system’s technical quality did not meet the company’s high standards. The client turned to us to improve performance, implement best programming practices (Scrum, CI/CD), and rebuild the platform with a completely new UX/UI design. Another key goal of these changes was to optimize long-term system maintenance costs.

The Task
We started the project with a technical audit and CRO (conversion rate optimization) phase. This is a standard process in which we thoroughly analyze the client’s system as if it were our own, identifying the main problem areas.
The key issues we discovered during the Shipzee audit included security vulnerabilities, inconsistent code quality, a general lack of best programming practices, and insufficiently effective UX/UI design solutions. After identifying these “pain points,” we decided to focus on three main areas that required substantial improvements.

Design and User Experience
The main task for the design team was to simplify the use of Shipzee’s services. The biggest challenge was that the average user did not understand the specifics of the Shipzee system. The existing user journey was complicated, and the website lacked appropriate design solutions to guide visitors effectively.
For example, since products are shipped from another continent in nearly all cases, delivery times are significantly longer than what buyers are accustomed to. This needs to be clearly communicated early in the shopping process to avoid potential misunderstandings or disappointments.
