Throughout this long-term collaboration, we developed an innovative eCommerce system designed to handle a vast product range seamlessly while providing a smooth shopping experience — and have continuously enhanced it over time.

The Task

Online shopping habits and technologies are constantly evolving. To adapt, boost performance, and open new opportunities for growth, we needed to completely rebuild the Topo Centras system. With its vast product catalog and high visitor traffic, this transformation posed a significant challenge.

At the same time, the existing platform had shaped well-established customer behavior patterns. Preserving these while introducing a fresh design was essential to ensure the shopping experience remained familiar, seamless, and intuitive.

A customized Magento Commerce solution was implemented to support and efficiently manage the wide product assortment.

PWA technology was utilized to transform the shopping experience, increasing site speed, usability, and expanding functionality.

Integration of the LupaSearch system was carried out, accelerating product search, analyzing user behavior, and suggesting relevant items.

Integration with the internal ERP system was implemented to manage company resources more efficiently.

New functionalities were added, including product tracking, a favorites list, a blog, an internal consultant system, and more.

The shopping flow was redesigned, a new type of user profile was created, and the product comparison feature was updated.

Design and User Experience

Given the nature of its business, the Topo Centras online store manages an exceptionally large volume of information, including diverse product categories, detailed specifications, marketing offers, buying guides, and more. This complexity presented one of the greatest challenges in designing the user interface: customers needed to quickly absorb the content while being able to complete purchases seamlessly.

Few retailers can match Topo Centras in terms of high visitor traffic and the dynamic nature of established shopping habits. We understood that successfully integrating new functionalities required building on the existing system rather than creating something radically different. As a result, leveraging prior experience and understanding the rationale behind existing solutions was essential. Collecting, preserving, and documenting all this information became one of the project’s key challenges.

The combination of complex solutions helped double the e-store’s speed on both mobile and desktop versions.
